Erasmus+ Orientation Week Trip to Kluszkowce
Our recent orientation week trip to Kluszkowce from October 2-4, 2024, was an unforgettable experience for all the Erasmus+ students at the University of Agriculture in Krakow. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Kluszkowianka creek valley, this picturesque village offered the perfect setting for both integrating and adventure.
Upon our arrival in Kluszkowce, we were welcomed by breathtaking mountain views and the crisp autumn air. After settling in with a warm dinner, we gathered for informative presentations about Erasmus+ mobility. The sessions covered essential and practical information on university life, cultural integration, and valuable do’s and don’ts for living in Poland. Our Vice Rector for Cooperation prof. dr hab. inż. Andrzej Sechman shared our university's history, organization and offer for students. A highlight was the cross-cultural panel, where students shared their diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of community among us.
The next day we set off for Dunajec River Rafting. After a short bus ride, we embarked on a rafting journey through stunning landscapes. We navigated the river, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery. Following our adventure on the water, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch.
Later in the afternoon, we took a trip up the Palenica Chairlift, which offered panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains. With plenty of free time to explore, many of us enjoyed a ride down a gravity slide and some others simply relaxed and took in the beautiful scenery. The day concluded with a cozy supper at the hotel.
On our final day, we enjoyed a farewell breakfast together. As we packed our bags and prepared for the journey back to Kraków, it was clear that this orientation week had not only introduced students to Polish culture but also to new friendships that will last throughout their Erasmus+ journey.
Kluszkowce, with its unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness, provided an ideal backdrop for their introduction to life as international students in Poland. We returned to Kraków somewhat tired, but with hearts full and excitement for the adventures that lie ahead.
We look forward to many more experiences together as a community!
